Rental Period
The standard minimum rental period is 24 hours.
In case of late return:

For each additional hour, 1/5 of the daily rental rate will be charged.

If the delay exceeds 5 hours, a full day rental fee will be applied.
If the renter wishes to extend the rental period, this must be requested at least 12 hours before the contract end time.
Unapproved extensions may result in the cancellation of insurance coverage.
Long-Term Rentals
The minimum duration for long-term rentals is 30 days.

Vehicle Pick-Up & Drop-Off (During Business Hours)
Vehicle pick-up and return operations are carried out 7 days a week between 08:00 – 18:00.
Requests made outside these hours may require prior notice, availability, and may incur additional fees.
During pick-up and drop-off, the following checks are performed:

Fuel level

Interior and exterior condition

Detection of existing damages

Tire and equipment check
The vehicle is delivered clean and must be returned in the same condition.
If the interior or exterior is excessively dirty or requires detailed cleaning, a 400₺ cleaning fee will be charged.
All equipment (spare key, license documents, chains, etc.) is recorded in the contract during delivery.
If any missing item or new damage is detected upon return, the relevant cost will be charged to the renter.
In case of late vehicle return, the delay fees specified in the rental conditions will apply.
Driver’s License & Age Requirements

The renter must be at least 20 years old.

The renter must have a valid driver's license for at least 2 years.
Higher age and license requirements may apply for upper-segment vehicles.
Additional Driver
Any person other than the renter who will drive the vehicle must:

Meet the age and license requirements

Have their ID and driver’s license information added to the rental agreement
If an unregistered driver operates the vehicle:

Insurance and all coverage become invalid

All financial and legal responsibilities fall on the renter

Note: REK Rent A Car reserves the right to change vehicle types listed on the tariff without prior notice due to operational demands or availability.
Traffic Rules & Fines
Speed limits in Türkiye:

State Highways: 130 km/h
-
Private Highways: 140 km/h
-
Intercity Divided Highways: 110 km/h

Urban Roads: 50 km/h
Parking rules must be followed. Parking violations and fines are the responsibility of the renter.
All traffic fines incurred during the rental period belong to the renter.
Fines received after the vehicle is returned will also be charged to the renter, payable in cash or by credit card.
If the vehicle is impounded by authorities for any reason, the time spent is considered part of the rental period.
Insurance & Coverage Information
All vehicles are delivered with Rent A Car insurance (kasko coverage).
Insurance becomes invalid in the following cases:

Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs

Use of the vehicle by an unregistered driver

Serious violations of traffic rules (running red lights, driving the wrong way, etc.)

Misuse of the vehicle or using it outside its intended purpose
Fuel Policy
The vehicle must be returned with the same fuel level as when it was received.
If the vehicle is returned with less fuel, the fuel difference + service fee will be charged to the renter.
